Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.

Just as important as the participation of the owners in the day-to-day operation of the business, is the tremendous effort of 30 summertime staff and 5 year-round staff that the lodge requires for its smooth functioning.
Our seasonal staff comes from Alaska, the Lower 48, Hawai'i, and abroad. In the off-season, they may be found on the local pond hockey rink, at the South Pole, on a remote Pacific island, and anywhere in between in the pursuit of travel, education, work and fun.
Working at Camp Denali is not for the faint of heart; it requires a commitment to work hard and be a participant in a small, close-knit, self-sufficient community. We are grateful year after year to work alongside such a diverse, interesting, and dedicated group of individuals.

We are fortunate to work with a hardy few who have committed to brave the cold, dark days and nights of winter to work with us year-round. These few are essential to our business and are the people with whom you will most likely speak when calling our office October through April.
On any given winter morning, you might see them out at -20F, bundled beyond recognition, as they bike, ski or walk their way to our winter office in the protracted darkness.
As business owners, we feel extremely fortunate to be able to attract a few good people to work with us year-round who, like we do, feel privileged to live and work in the heart of the Alaska Range, on the edge of this magnificent wilderness park.

Program Manager
Originally from Upstate New York, Robina has lived and worked in Alaska on and off since 2010. During that time, she has fallen in love with both southeast and interior Alaska and has worked as a stage manager, naturalist guide, and environmental consultant. Robina is thrilled to return to Camp Denali as the Program Manager to share her enthusiasm for the tundra with guests and staff. Outside of work, Robina enjoys mountain biking, hiking, good coffee, and porch sits; she someday hopes to graduate from knitting hats to knitting sweaters.
Office Manager
Following years of working seasonally and frolicking abroad, Tess is delighted to nestle into a log cabin and spend her days fulfilling all of Camp Denali's office needs. When not distracted by the beauty of Denali, she intends to pass the winter skiing, attempting to be a papercut artist, and consuming as many books as possible. A romantic, Tess apologizes in advance to her fellow year-round coworkers for being incapable of not rhapsodizing daily over the quality of Alaska's ever-changing light.
Personnel Manager
Megan hails from the West Coast (Seattle and the Bay Area), but has lived in the South, Midwest, and New England. Her first trip to Camp Denali was to visit her now husband, Red, who was working as a Naturalist Guide. The friendships formed amongst the Camp Denali community were what made her want to be the Personnel Manager. Megan is embracing Alaska life and aspires to become a respectable quilter and cross-country skier.
