Application Process

Thank you for your interest in working with us.

Each year, we hire 44 seasonal staff to join 6 year-round staff members to create a summer staff of 50 total. Usually 70-80% are returnees from a previous summer.

All applications have been accepted for the 2015 season.  We are still accepting Naturalist Guide applications. Please visit our Job Descriptions page for more information on the qualifications requested of our Naturalist Guide applicants.

Thank you for your interest in working with us. We will begin accepting applications for the 2016 in fall of 2015. Please check back in late summer for an exact date. We do not accept applications any earlier than November.

To apply for a Naturalist Guide position, please complete our online “Seasonal Staff 2015” application, by clicking the following link:

When prompted to upload your resume, please include the following three items as one .doc, txt, or .pdf document .

1) A letter that addresses:

  • How you heard about Camp Denali and North Face Lodge
  • Why you want to work with us
  • The job(s) you are applying for
  • The relevant skills and experience you bring
  • If you possess a current driver’s license with less than three moving violations in the past three years
  • A description of your work ethic
  • A short description of your near-term goals.
  • An indication of your willingness and ability to commit to two summer seasons. (Three summers for Naturalist Guides and Coordinators)
  • Your dates of availability; the first and last day you could be working in Alaska. (Our full season is late May through mid-September.  Strong preference is given to applicants who can work a full season)

2) A current resume that indicates your education, volunteer, and work experiences.

3) Three professional references. Provide their names, titles if they have one, relationship to you, and contact information; usually an email address and phone number will suffice.

An hour-long phone interview followed by an in-person interview near your location with a Camp Denali representative is required.

We regret we are not able to conduct in-person interviews outside the U.S. International applicants must acquire a work visa that is valid through the season.

Feel free to send an email to or call 907-683-2290, should you experience any difficulties submitting an application.
