At Camp Denali, community and high quality detail-oriented work are of paramount importance.  We request flexibility and willingness to help with a range of tasks of all our employees.

Most first year and returning staff can expect to work at least two jobs throughout the summer; ratio of work will be dependent upon experience and company needs.  We'll seek to discover what combination of roles will be best for you as part of our application and interview process.

Facilities Manager

Tasked with maintaining the physical infrastructure of Camp Denali and North Face Lodge's facilities, this seasonal (May-Sept) position is one full of problem-solving and learning opportunities.  This individual is responsible for ensuring maintenance and smooth operation of tools, equipment, buildings, vehicles and grounds.  Training, supervising and instructing a 4-6 person crew comprised of individuals with varying skill levels is also a part of the role.  This is a highly skilled position which requires a broad knowledge base regarding a variety of systems.

Program Manager

The Program Department at Camp Denali is tasked with implementing the educational elements of the company mission of "providing active learning experiences and fostering stewardship of the natural world through a tradition of excellence, community, and place."  This role requires the supervisory skills to keep our twelve naturalist guides and eight guest hosts operating at a superior level, and the natural history content knowledge to support them in their pursuit of excellence.  This job is based deep within Denali National Park for the summer (May-September), and our winter office near the entrance of the park is the base of operations for the winter (October-April).
